We are pleased to report that the project “Three Mobile Drone Workshops” has been successfully completed.
“Due to rapid technological changes on the frontline, equipment – especially drones and fixed-wing systems – evolves constantly. At the same time, enemy countermeasures are increasing. That’s why there is a strong demand for fast, flexible mobile workshops,” explains Yurii Tanasiichuk, founder and head of the April Foundation.
Since the launch of the project, the foundation, together with its partners, has delivered three mobile drone workshops to the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
What Are These Workshops?
These workshops are built on large vehicles and designed for frontline conditions:
- Equipped with autonomous power systems
- Ventilation and heating systems (Webasto-type diesel heaters)
- 2–3 fully equipped workstations
- Capability to operate and stay inside for up to 48 hours
- Mobility close to the line of contact, depending on the needs of drone pilots and operators
“Our goal was to create mobile, self-sufficient workshops that can operate near the frontline. We achieved this – three times,” adds Yurii Tanasiichuk.
Who Received Them
All three vehicles were delivered to the Special Operations Forces of Ukraine:
- Two regiments
- One specialized center
(This is the maximum level of detail currently available for public disclosure.)
