Our September trip to the east has just wrapped up, and as always, it’s time to share the results. This update will be short and focused on the essentials. We’re publishing it as Yuriy, Volodymyr, and Andriy are once again on their way to the front line.
During this latest trip, our volunteers delivered 8 vehicles (one of them was provided by partners, and we assisted with its delivery to the Kurakhove direction). Among the cars delivered were two Volkswagen T4s for the 93rd Brigade “Kholodny Yar”, a Subaru and a Rexton for special services, as well as a bus for one of the newly formed brigades (its name withheld for security reasons).
With the transfer of the final ten drones to the 109th Brigade, we officially completed the project “Hell Birds: 100 Drones of Revenge”. We also supplied four units with 2,000 rounds of ammunition.
“We’ve tested it ourselves and recommend it to others: to shoot down drones, you should always use cartridges with a 36-gram load, size #3 shot. They work well at the moment,” notes Yuriy Tanasiychuk, head of the “April” foundation.
Two shotguns were purchased – one has already been delivered, and we’re waiting for the other to arrive. Thanks to the support of our partner volunteer community, we also handed over numerous grappling hooks (“cats”) for clearing tripwires and demining. Additionally, we delivered one drone-detection device (Hoover) and covered payment for two more (Chuyka), which are expected to arrive in the coming days.
The total value of the reinforcement provided to our soldiers – vehicles, their repair and preparation, reliable off-road tires, as well as technical equipment (drones, detectors, etc.) – amounted to 42,000 US dollars, accumulated since July. This sum also includes the most recent fundraising campaign of 170,000 UAH, which we managed to close quickly – thank you all for that!
“This is quiet but tremendous work done by the rear. Thanks to everyone involved! Defense is everyone’s business. Deep gratitude to all who understand this,” adds Yuriy.
We wish our people, who are once again heading east, safe roads and a happy return home. And we remind ourselves, and everyone reading this, that each completed trip – or even one still underway – means it’s time to prepare for the next. To do that, we need to close the outstanding financial commitments under the “10 Techiks” (Volkswagen T4) project. We ask for your understanding, support, and donations:
