We recently had the great pleasure of working with teenagers from the Donetsk region – talented young people who took part in this year’s NYCamp, the arts and education program of the New York Literary Festival. For them, we ran a hands-on master class in drone building.
Under the guidance of our mentors, the participants assembled their first Kamikaze drones – a moment we’re very proud of. It’s important that young people learn to stand up for themselves.
NYCamp took place in the Carpathians for winners and nominees of the festival’s essay contest, held in memory of Victoria Amelina, the writer who founded the festival and was killed by Russia two years ago.
Thank you to the organizers for inviting us, and thank you to the participants for your engagement – you are extraordinary.
We continue building our “birds,” because tears alone do not bring freedom.
